Please help us keep doing what we’re doing by booking advertising on An Ordinary Life.
An Ordinary Life currently has a subscriber database of nearly 2,000 readers, who receive email updates every time a topic is posted. The website averages 12,000 visitors per month and around 40,000 page views. The traffic isn’t huge, but it’s there and it’s growing.
Will this website give you the highest possible return on investment available? No, it won’t. There are other websites who have cheaper advertising than ours for the same amount of traffic. There are also websites who have more traffic than we do who charge the same.
Then why would I advertise here? Because the money that you pay here will go towards supporting me and my family while we continue to do the work that so many of you keep telling us is important. The advertising fee you pay will ensure we are able to remain financially self-sufficient, and continue to concentrate our efforts on Project 18, Cate’s Cause and other charitable causes as they arise, without relying on the system to support us or drawing a wage from the Association. This is not a donation. We believe that advertising here will be of benefit to your business.
How much does it cost? Advertising on An Ordinary Life is priced at $25/week, booked in 4 week blocks.
What do I get? 125×125 square banner (static or animated) on the side panel of every page of An Ordinary Life in rotation with a maximum of 4 other advertisers. We guarantee never more than 5 advertisers at a time. We will also promote your business daily via our Twitter accounts @catebolt and @rickads (each with over 2,000 followers). We guarantee at least one new blog post each week, which draws people to the website.
Who is subscribed to An Ordinary Life? Due to the nature of the content of An Ordinary Life, there are several members of prominent national media, including TV, radio and both city and regional newspapers subscribed to updates. The remainder of our subscribers are a cross-section of like-minded citizens who are passionate about the environment and child welfare. A large percentage are parents and/or grandparents.
Who should not advertise here? Those who are looking for a conservative non-confrontational environment in which to advertise. Anyone who might feel that homelessness is an embarrassment or something to be ashamed of. Businesses who are not interested in or committed to Global Change, tolerance and compassion.
Finally… we reserve the right to use An Ordinary Life as a platform to facilitate global change, whether that be through awareness, fundraising or other means. We may, or may not, adopt other causes along the way. You are welcome to withdraw your advertising at any time if you find compassion and tolerance offensive. We do not, however, offer a refund of advertising paid in advance.
This website is the personal website of Catherine Bolt. Advertising fees are paid directly to Catherine Bolt and are her own personal income, they are not contributions to any of her causes or associations.
Please send an email through the contact page, if you would like to advertise.
